Facebook Eliminates Redundancy and Streamlines Ad Options

The ever-changing Facebook advertising platform is at it again. Over the next few months, Facebook with be rolling out several changes to help businesses achieve their advertising goals. So what can you expect from the largest social advertising network this time around?

They will include the best of sponsored stories in all ad units – Gone are the days of creating separate groups of sponsored stories to ensure social context with ad delivery.  Starting this fall, Facebook will seamlessly include the best of sponsored stories automatically to show the richest of your social stories with ads.

And eliminate redundancies within ad offers – Say goodbye to ‘Offers’ and ‘Questions’ as of July 9th!  Facebook is eliminating ad units that accomplish the same goals to prevent confusion and make our advertising lives easier.

Then provide consistency across ad units – Facebook will take another stab at streamlining the types of ad units and create a more consistent visual display of ads.  If you’ve ever used Power Editor, you’ll be happy to hear that next quarter Facebook will be adjusting the platform to make it easier to build and creatively optimize campaigns.
